Please read the requirements before applying for a permit.
The following requirements must be met in order for the City of D’Iberville to grant a Building Permit:
- A complete application must be filed with the Building Division by an individual or corporation licensed to do business as a Contractor, in accordance with state and local statutes.
- Failure to provide all information requested will delay the processing of your permit and may require a resubmission.
- Two complete sets of construction drawings, drawn to scale, must be submitted at the time of the application; these MUST include, at a minimum: *
* A Certificate of Elevation if your project is in a Special Flood Hazard Area, a Community Flood Hazard Area or if otherwise required by City Ordinance.
* Construction Drawings- A site plan depicting all required setbacks, fences, entries, signage and drainage.
- Foundation plan
- Floor plan
- Plumbing plan
- Mechanical plan
- Electrical plan
- Exterior elevations
- Details sufficient to demonstrate Code compliance with High Wind Resistant Construction
- Specifications
- Fire Suppression Systems
- Others as required by the Building Official
- Approval from the Planning Department and/or the City of D’Iberville Planning Commission and City Council
- Approval from the City of D’Iberville Engineer
- Any permits required by other authorities having jurisdiction, i.e. Corps of Engineers, MDMR, MDEQ, MDOT, et al.
