About Us

D’Iberville, Mississippi, is a small, growing community on the north shore of the Back Bay. D’Iberville has a long and rich history that is traced back to the landing of Pierre LeMoyne, Sieur d’Iberville, our city’s namesake, in 1699 when he anchored off the Mississippi Gulf Coast looking for an outlet to the Mississippi River.

As with other cities on the Mississippi Coast, D’Iberville was devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Now that we’ve gotten through the worst of the storm’s enduring effects, our top priorities are continued rebuilding and improving our city to help enrich the lives of our citizens as well as creating enjoyable experiences for our city’s visitors.

D’Iberville is one of the fastest growing cities on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and prides itself in nurturing local businesses and our growing commercial districts. We are experiencing tremendous growth with new housing and commercial developments being built and planned every day. We’ve recently annexed a large portion of land to our north and are busy working on infrastructure improvements to the area as well as an additional four square miles to the north and west of our city limits. We are poised and receptive for growth with big plans for a bright future.

When visiting the area, we encourage you to come visit us and find out why we are the smallest big city on the Gulf Coast. You’ll find prime shopping and retail, a growing professional community and the kind of warm welcome and friendly atmosphere that makes you feel at home.

Stop by city hall with any questions and we hope this site will help you to learn about our city.

D’Iberville welcomes you!
