City Council Tables Hiring of City Manager
At the Aug. 18th Council Meeting, a motion was made to hire Bobby Eleuterius as City Manager. During the discussion period that followed, Eleuterius declined the offer, stating that negative press, rumors and the difficulty the situation placed on his family and his health, led him to the decision to decline the offer. During the Citizens’ Comments portion of the meeting, several citizens, councilmembers and even some members of the staff spoke in favor of Mr. Eleuterius and asked him to reconsider his decision.
The City Council tabled the hiring of City Manager for some future date.
