Crime Report: 10-3-09: Sexual Battery
Chief Wayne Payne announced the arrest of white male James Elmer Bang, 37 years of age, of D’Iberville, MS. Bang is charged with Sexual Battery. After hearing the facts, Harrison County Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain imposed a $400,000.00 bond for Bang.
On Saturday, October 03, 2009, D’Iberville Police Officers responded to Ocean Springs Hospital regarding a complaint of sexual battery on a minor child. On arrival, Officers met with the mother of the victim who provided information the child complained discomfort. After an examination, an interview was conducted with the child where she disclosed information regarding Bang’s misconduct.
Captain Keith Davis of the Criminal Investigations Division said Investigators were able to develop enough evidence to charge Bang with two counts of Sexual Battery involving two separate victims. Capt. Davis said the case is still under investigation.
