ROUTE 4: CTA Rolls out a bus route to D’Iberville

Beginning Sunday, October 12, Coast Transit Authority (CTA) will roll out its new D’Iberville bus route, Route 4 which will leave the Transit Center at 190 Reynoir Street in Biloxi and cross over the I-110, make a loop around  D’Iberville and return to the Transit Center in a 40-45 minute ride.

Kevin Coggin, Executive Director of CTA said that Route 4 will provide a tremendous service to people in D’Iberville who may work in casinos or wish to travel CTA’s numerous Biloxi routes. For citizens in Biloxi, Route 4 will take them to shopping at the Lakeview Shopping Center, to events at D’Iberville’s Civic Complex and the unique restaurants and shops of Old Town, D’Iberville.

After crossing the Biloxi Bay, Route 4 will exit onto Central Avenue, traveling north, take LeMoyne Boulevard to McCann Road where it will travel north and connect to Big Ridge Road, going west to Lamey Bridge Road, north to the Lakeview Shopping Center and Wal-Mart, back to Lamey Bridge Road, west on Big Ridge Road and onto Automall Parkway, south to the I-110 and back to Biloxi.

Route 4’s schedule will include established bus stops but will also work by the hail system. Riders may hail the bus along the route and be picked up. It will begin at the Transit Center at 5:30 a.m., make a 40-45 minute loop into D’Iberville and be back at the Transit Center at 6:10 a.m. Route 4 will continue making this loop at 45 minute intervals until 7:40 p.m.
