10.6.2008: Burglary
D’iberville Chief of Police Wayne Payne announced the arrest of Brady Frazier, b/m, 46 years of age and Shawanda Montgomery, b/f, 31years of age, both from the Mobile area.
In the early morning hours on October 6, 2008, D’Iberville Police Officer Lee Donald observed Frazier driving a small white vehicle near Lowe’s, located at 3700 Sangani Blvd., without utilizing headlights.
When Officer Donald attempted to make a traffic stop to investigate this suspicious behavior, Frazier fled west on I-10. Officer Donald pursued Frazier and Montgomery west to Lorraine Rd. Frazier further attempted to elude the pusuing officer by turning off his headlights while driving on I-10. Frazier was unable to negotiate the turn onto Highway 605 from Lorraine Rd and struck a street sign. Officer Donald took both Frazier and Montgomery into custody after determining that a Burglary had occurred at the Lowe’s
Investigators were able to link evidence left at the scene to items in the car driven by Frazier. Both Frazier and Montgomery were charged with Commercial Burglary. Additionally, Frazier was charged with (Felony) Fleeing from a Police Officer. Each count carried a Bond of $25,000, as set by Judge Albert Fountain.
Chief Payne said he had challenged his officers to be pro-active in locating and arresting every suspect who willfully breaks and enters any property in the D’Iberville community. Officer Donald’s alertness to detail and professionalism are exactly what he expects.
