12.9.08: Fugitive from Justice
D’Iberville Police Chief Wayne Payne announced the arrest, December 9, 2008 of Carlos Ramirez Roura, 53 years of age of Texas. Chief Payne said Roura was arrested after officers learned he was wanted, by the state of Texas, via the National Crime Information Center (N.C.I.C.) where Roura was listed as a fugitive from justice.
Chief Payne said records indicated Roura was wanted for parole violation and his original charge was “dangerous drugs”. The Police Department arrested Roura on a criminal affidavit charging him under the Fugitive from Justice State Statute. Roura was subsequently transported to and incarcerated at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center where he was awaiting the extradition process.
