When should I call 911?
9-1-1 should be used in emergencies only, when immediate police, fire, and/or medical assistance is needed. Examples of these are crimes in progress, crashes with injuries, or life-threatening situations. Otherwise, use the non-emergency number 228-865-7060.
What are the Police Department’s hours?
The Police Department is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, the lobby and front desk is staffed only from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding city holidays). Patrol Captains are usually available at the police station for assistance seven days a week 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. If assistance is required other than these times, call our dispatch at 228-865-7060.
How do I file a Police Report?
There are two ways to file a report with the Police Department for an after the fact incident:
Call our Dispatch at 228-865-7060 to request an officer to meet you at your location (must be inside the city limits) to take a report.
OR
Come to the Police Department at 11290 Lamey Bridge Road D’Iberville, MS 39540 during business hours. If after hours, contact dispatch and request an officer to meet you at the lobby to take a report.
E-Crash Accident Reports
You may obtain an E-Crash accident report online at www.ms.gov/dps/crash_reports or by bringing your case card and photo ID to the D’Iberville Police Department at 11290 Lamey Bridge Rd, D’Iberville, MS, 39540. There is a $5.00 fee for your report which does not include the convenience fee for the credit or debit card usage. Cash is not accepted for reports only credit card or company checks from insurance. Please allow 5 business days for your report to be completed. Please call the records division @ 228-273-3351 or email Aimee Diaz adiaz@diberville.ms.us to check the status of your report or assistance in retrieving your report.
RMS Minor Accident Reports
You may obtain an RMS Minor Accident report by bringing your case card and photo ID to the D’Iberville Police Department at 11290 Lamey Bridge Rd, D’Iberville, MS, 39540. There is a $5.00 fee for your report which does not include the convenience fee for the credit or debit card usage. Cash is not accepted for reports only credit card or company checks from insurance. Please allow 5 business days for your report to be completed. Please call the records division @ 228-273-3351 or email Aimee Diaz adiaz@diberville.ms.us to check the status of your report or assistance in retrieving your report.
You may obtain an incident report by bringing your case card and photo ID to the D’Iberville Police Department at 11290 Lamey Bridge Rd, D’Iberville, MS, 39540.. The fee for an incident report is $5.00 which does not include the convenience fee for the credit or debit card usage, cash is not accepted for reports only credit card. Your name must be listed on the report in order to pick up the report. If you are listed as a victim on the report, you receive one copy of the report with no fee. If you are not listed on the incident report a public records request is required. Chief Shannon Nobles is a native of Biloxi and life-long resident of Harrison County. He and his wife Tammy were married in 1997, Tammy is a national board recognized teacher with Harrison County School District and together they are proud parents of Alex and Anna Grace, who both are members of D’Iberville High School Warrior Nation, with Alex being a 2020 graduate with honors and Anna Grace a current honor roll student and cheerleader.
Chief Shannon Nobles was appointed on February 18, 2022 to head up the D’Iberville Police Department and is a veteran of law enforcement with completion of the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department Police Academy in 1996. Chief Nobles is no stranger to the City of D’Iberville as he started his law enforcement services to the city in 2001 as a deputy for the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department.
In 2008 he was the first officer hired when the D’Iberville Police Department was formed and was instrumental in helping build the department from the ground up. He held several positions with the department: School Resource Officer, Reserve Officer, Lieutenant of Community Relations, and Captain of Administration before being appointed Chief.
Chief Nobles holds an Associate of Arts Degree from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Southern Mississippi and has attended several advanced law enforcement courses to include Southeastern Command and Leadership Academy at the University of Tennessee and the Mississippi Law Enforcement Command College. He is grateful for the opportunity to serve the city he loves.
