In accordance with the City of D’Iberville’s Ordinance No. 177, each qualified person desiring to operate a golf cart or low-speed vehicle on the designated streets of D’Iberville shall first submit an application in person to the D’Iberville Police Department to obtain an individual permit/decal to be placed on the golf cart or low-speed vehicle; the decal shall be affixed to the left rear fender of the cart or low-speed vehicle to be fully visible when the golf cart or low-speed vehicle is in operation. A registration fee of $100.00 for each permit shall be payable at the time of registration. After payment is made, an officer will set up a time to come to your residence to inspect the golf cart or low-speed vehicle. Once the golf cart or low-speed vehicle passes the inspection, a decal shall be placed on the golf cart or low-speed vehicle, which will be effective for the current calendar year, which runs from January 1st to
December 31st. Golf carts or low-speed vehicles shall have all equipment listed in the City Ordinance. All drivers must have a valid driver's license and a minimum liability insurance coverage on the golf cart or low-speed vehicle.
Upon approval of this application and issuance of a permit/decal, it is understood that the decal must be affixed to the left rear fender of the cart or low-speed vehicle. The permit shall be effective for the current calendar year, which runs from January 1st to December 31st.
My signature below indicates that I have received a copy of the City of D’Iberville’s Ordinance No. 177 and have paid the registration fee for the above-listed golf cart or low-speed vehicle, assuming all liability for the golf cart or low-speed vehicle. I will only operate the listed vehicle on the approved streets and roads of the City of D’Iberville. I also acknowledge that the City of D’Iberville provides this privilege under these terms and reserves the right to revoke any permit for any ordinance violation. I also acknowledge that I must renew said decal each year beginning January 1st of each calendar year and obey all state laws and regulations of this ordinance on operating the golf cart or low-speed vehicle on approved public roadways.
